BIO

I was taught to draw at an early age by my father, who was self taught and encouraged me to participate in art competitions as often as possible. He (Milton Lee Farley Jr.) was an artist in museum quality scale models from scratch.
Sometime before I was twelve, I won a statewide drawing competition for kids my age sponsored by a local television station and the "Jon Gnagy Learn to Draw" show. Top price was Gnagy's deluxe instruction kit.
In High School, I was assistant to the Art Director and won a weekend workshop scholarship to Herron Institute of Art, studying figure drawing.
After going into technical drawing for corporate America, worked in report graphics and visual aids.
Served as house designer and builder for a special events group for a couple of years in the eighties which led to several more years of free lance work. Various projects include stage and party designs, floats for 500 Festival Parades and Night Club makeovers.
Later I entered into local arts, where I did a series of one-man shows and participated in several group shows.
I've done sculpture for public display, faux painted interiors commercial and private, designed hundreds of T-shirts for screen printing and many special event displays including props for Vanna White and Rich Little appearances.
